Christiane Eidsten Dahl is a Norwegian modern and baroque violinist living in London.
She has performed in Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Musikverein Vienna, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Cite de la Musique Paris. Touring includes countries like China, Brazil. Colombia and most of Europe with orchestras as Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Trondheim Barokk, Academy of Ancient Music and Oslo Camerata
She graduated from Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, Norway after completing her Undergraduate Degree in Performing Violin with prof. Geir Inge Lotsberg.
After receiving the TICON scholarship from Drammen borough in Norway, Christiane moved to London to study with prof. David Takeno at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2010.
Christiane performs regularly with Academy of Ancient Music, Orchestra of The Age of Enlightenment, Classical Opera, Trondheim Barokk and Barokkanerne. In January 2017 she won the Trondheim Young Baroque Musician Soloist Competition.
In the autumn season of 2014, Christiane appeared as Principal Violin with the Gramophone Award winning La Serenissima. She recorded Bachs Matthew Passion with Academy of Ancient Music in April 2014 and Vivaldi Seasons with La Serenissima in 2015.
As a passionate Chamber musician, Christiane plays in a London based horn trio called Trio SOL with the musicians David Horwich (horn) and Chad Vindin (piano). As a period performer, Christiane is a member of Royal Baroque and Istante Baroque.
